Before diving into this Weekly Update, let it be known that due to the color scheme change, we are in need of new tank images to replace the old ones. The old ones should still be hosted on each page for historical purposes, but new images should be used wherever possible, especially in infoboxes. Note that many of the current replacements are poorly cropped screenshots that do not match the previous Wiki-standard, so if you see any images that are blurry or cropped badly, please replace them with cleaner ones!
That out of the way, let us delve into the shortest Weekly Update blog to date!

New color scheme
In one of the more controversial updates to the game, Diep.io is now rendered in a new experimental color scheme, effective March 6, 2017. Zeach and the devs have requested that players make their opinions on the changes known on the , so if you feel strongly either way about the new theme, be sure to make your voice heard there!
Additionally, in an effort to put the Diep.io Wikia on the map and potentially attract Zeach’s attention, staff have seen fit to to the newest front page Featured Poll on the subreddit. If you haven’t yet seen or voted in this poll, do so now.

Congratulations to Nobellion for winning the Wordmark contest! Desperate Need for News Team Members
This Week’s Update barely made it out on time, & even then only with the volunteer help of our favorite code wizard. Due to the high demand, as current News Team Members slow down, we are willing to accept applications for a short time. Simply write a blog post, then leave a message on any Administrator’s Wall with a link to that blog & a request to join. If the blog is well written, an invitation will be extended. Remember: you don’t have to be Staff to join!
- MOS — A Former Staff member, has returned & is currently an Intern.
No demotions occurred this Week, but a great many Staff have fallen into inactivity. Expect at least one demotion if not two or three the following week.
All of your favorite Chat.js scripts are back, at least for the time being. In an attempt to diagnose & solve the longstanding lag & performance issues that have plagued our Chat, Ursuul has contacted a member of the Community Technical Team, Rappy 4187, for assistance in this matter. To aid in the unit testing & bug fixing process, Rappy has requested that all Chat.js scripts be reinstated until a fix can be found. Use them while you can!
Main Page Expansion
- Compartmentalization of the entire page.
- Porting the Intro to Project:About.
- A new welcome template displaying our new wordmark, which links to Project:About.
- An “Improvement Drive” module showcasing pages that need cleanup.
- A “Featured Article” module showcasing high quality articles.
- A “Gameplay” navigation module.
- A “Tanks” navigation module.
- A Chat module.
- An “Editor of the Month” Module showcasing exceptional editors/contest winners.
Comments & feedback regarding the main page’s look & design may be directed to Ursuul, or to the Talk Page.
- Massive shoutout to Count of Howard for writing literally this entire tab out of pure charity. You the real MVP lad.
Main Page Expansion
Although the Main Page is much more organized than it was, there is yet more to do. The two navigation modules need to be longer, the Recent Changes module needs to be shortened if not wholly removed, & then the modules need to be restyled to fit the theme. Though we have come far from the wall of text & outdated slider that was the old Main Page, we are only at the foot of the mountain.
Oasis Theme Overhaul
New changes have been slow, & it may be that this theme will stick for some time. Other trickles of modifications may occasionally occur, but for now the theme has stabilized.
User Group PagesMost well established Wikis, such as the Elder Scrolls Wiki, have Project Namespace pages for each user-group. Rollbacks, Admins, Councilors, Vanguard, et cetera. In order to have more down-to-earth & detailed descriptions of these groups that can be read without going to Community Central, a small side-project will be initiated to create such pages to give more in-depth information about them. Bureaucrat, Admin, Disc Mod, Chat Mod, Content Mod, Rollback, & Poweruser can be fully explained. However, due to the absence of local Wikians with higher global-rights such as Vanguard, VSTF, or Helpers, only the Councilor global right can be thoroughly explained, as we have two full-time Wiki members & a half dozen minor contributors who hold that user-right on the Wiki. User-groups other than those will be much more general & less helpful.
This is the order in which they will be created:
- Rollbacks (who have unique abilities on this Wiki only)
- Chat Mods
- Disc Mods
- Content Mods
- Volunteer Developers
- FANDOM Helpers
As a last off-shoot of this project, the following User-groups may potentially be specified in any given order:
- VIPs/MVPs — This would likely just be a list.
