Battle Royale is a Game Mode ruleset in diep.io. It modifies the existing rules into a different set, turning the gamemodes into a last man standing variant.

Battle Royale changes the gamemode names. FFA becomes Solo, Squadron becomes Duo, Triple-Squad and Quad-Squad, respectively, and 2 Teams and 4 Teams become 50-Team and 25-Team respectively. Domination becomes Control, and Survival, Maze, and Tag are removed.

Ruleset[]

  • Players spawn in with Literally Nothing, as usual.
  • Upon death, you are able to either spectate surviving players or get kicked out of the server and sent to a new one.
  • Players duel according to the gamemode's rules until nobody's left alive.
  • Players can select multiple upgrades to swap between.
    • The four basic upgrades are granted at Level 15.
    • The Smasher is granted at Level 30.
    • When the EXP level for upgrading is reached, the player must select one upgrade for each weapon they currently have (ex. at Level 45, if the player has Gunner, Hunter, Destroyer, Smasher, and Tri-Angle, they must pick one upgrade for each).
    • Players have an inventory accessed with R for quick-swapping between these weapons.
    • The map space consistently shrinks, like in Survival, but without requiring player kills to do so.

Specific Rules[]

Solo[]

  • None.

Duo[]

  • If you die, you go down and consistently take damage, at which point you can be killed off for good.
  • If your partner gets taken down, you are able to revive them by holding C on them for 10 seconds.
  • If your partner is completely killed, all of your stats double.

Squad[]

  • If you die, you go down and consistently take damage, at which point you can be killed off for good.
  • If your partner gets taken down, you are able to revive them by holding C on them for 10 seconds.
  • If any of your teammates are completely killed, all of your stats increase by 100% for each teammate killed.

Team[]

  • If you die, you go down and consistently take damage, at which point you can be killed off for good.
  • If your partner gets taken down, you are able to revive them by holding C on them for 10 seconds.
  • You cannot re-enter the base once you leave it.
  • If any of your teammates are completely killed, all of your stats increase by 5% for each teammate killed.
  • If the map gets so small the bases are practically on top of each other, they will simply disappear.

Control[]

  • Two of the Dominators belong to one team, as do two of the others.
  • Enemy team members will consistently respawn with everything they had on death until their Dominators are captured by the enemy team.
  • If a team captures a Dominator, it will instantly switch teams without going neutral.
